At Aurora Hills Animal Hospital, we believe that a sound health care plan during your pet’s adult years will help them to more gracefully enter their golden years and promote a longer life. We are so excited that you have chosen us to be a partner in your pet’s health care. Together we can tailor a plan to promote your pet’s health.
Adult pets are generally described as being between the ages of 1 and 7 years. This can vary based upon the size of the pet as larger pets tend to age faster. Adult pets are usually thought to be low maintenance. After all, they are young and seem healthy. This thinking can keep an adult pet from getting the proper healthcare to insure that we identify and treat medical problems early. Since adult pets are aging more rapidly than a human (6 to 7 times faster on average) we recommend twice yearly examinations so that we can more quickly detect and treat medical problems.
