Dr. Reilly was born and raised in Wheat Ridge, CO. She grew up with horses, dogs and a stream of furry and feathered, caged critters. Dr. Reilly decided in middle school that she wanted to be a veterinarian, so after her high school graduation (Go Farmers!) she headed north to Colorado State University (Go Rams!). In 2000, she graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. She decided that she needed a break after 17 years of school, so she spent a year working in the veterinary field before starting veterinary school in 2001. Dr. Reilly graduated from Colorado State University in May of 2005.
Dr. Reilly met her amazing husband, Travis, when she was halfway through veterinary school. They married right after graduation and moved to Albuquerque, NM for a change of scenery. There, Dr. Reilly practiced at a small animal hospital for four years. In 2009, they left the Land of Enchantment to come back to this great state. After 18 months of small animal practice in Denver, she found the path that led her to Aurora Hills Animal Hospital in the fall of 2011.
Dr. Reilly is passionate about bonding with her patients and their humans. She loves managing complex patients and watching their quality of life improve. She is a strong advocate for pain management whether that pain is from arthritis, a cut or bruise, or due to invasive surgery. Having shared 14 years with an allergic dog, she has grown to love dermatology and those 'itchy' dogs. Her greatest strength is dentistry and she loves seeing her patients lead fuller lives after having their oral health addressed. She believes that every animal deserves the best care that she has to offer.
Dr. Reilly is blessed to be married to Travis since 2005. They have two beautiful, teenage daughters, Mikayla and Quinn. They do have an eyebrow raising number of pets, but if you ask daughter, Quinn, they need more! The dogs are Dobby (mini long hair dachshund) and Pepper (coonhound/dachshund/chihuahua). The cats are Jupiter, Kit Kat, Cherry, and Phoebe. The guinea pigs are Inky and Marshmallow. The rats are Bubbles and Piglet.
Outside of the office, Dr. Reilly can be found spending time with her family, curled up with a good book, whipping up some delectable baked goods, or enjoying our beautiful state while skiing and hiking.
